8/21/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: QMHPA arrived at Kaila residence. Upon arrival Kaila appeared to be in a positive mood. QMHPA inquired about her day. She verbalized to QMHPA that she was having a good day; however, she was a little depressed because of the holidays approaching and as usual she gets depressed because she donât have the money needed to provide for her family like she wants to and that she would have the money but others like her sister keep coming to her for money and she gives it up to them because that is the person that she is and then she complains about it because no one will do the things for her that she wants in return. Kaila did not present any symptoms of S/I or H/I at the time of the session. Intervention: QMHPA started the session out by engaging Kaila in a discussion on her current mood being as though she indicated to QMHPA at the beginning of the session that she was a little depressed with all of the issues that she has going on when it comes to her mental health as well as her personal health. QMHPA engaged Kaila in a discussion on utilizing client-centered strategies such as active listening, empathy and validation to assist Kaila with identifying her mood and discussing her triggers towards her mental illness. QMHPA assisted Kaila with utilizing relaxation strategies to address her feelings. QMHPA assisted Kaila with articulate her needs effectively evident by utilizing effective communication skills when feelings stressed or frustrated. QMHPA suggested to Kaila that she allows herself to be changed evident by her controlling her anger before she it becomes to the point where it is uncontrollable. QMHPA engaged Kaila in an activity and a discussion that would increase insight regarding how false perceptions lead to negative thoughts. QMHPA continued to provide Kaila with support through active listen throughout the session. Response: Kaila was receptive to QMHPAsâ suggestions during the session. Kaila verbalized to QMHPA that she just did not know what way to turn in certain situations. Kaila stated to QMHPA that she struggles with communicating her needs at times because she feels as though she worries QMHPA. QMHPA discussed with Kaila that it is QMHPAâs job to ensure that her needs are meet to the best of QMHPAsâ ability. Kaila stated to QMHPA that she continues to stress herself out with other people problems and she needs to try to understand that she cannot continue to stress out because of other people problems becoming hers.
